Sent in from a CFR Head..

"When Helmets Make No Sense"

__________________________________________________________________________

Well...the door is always open for pics and other good stuff to keep this main page busy...I normally like to wait until something really strikes me and gets those creative juices to overwhelm me and therby motivate me to do something to make you jerkoffs laugh..(did I just say that?) Anyway..that river has run dry and I couldn't look @ GayB for a moment longer..and..well...my inbox has been on "E" from your clown box contributions...so all I can say is..you're so EMO-Core.

_____________________________________________________________________

Welcome Jokker...Glad you had a chance to get to the site...don't worry bro..this is the new chicacgo freeride...and we here at CFR...unlike all the others in your life...we actually DO UNDERSTAND YOU...it's O.K....black fingernail polish...and emo hair or not...we understand. As for the pic below (submitted by an anon user) I think it speaks for itself...ENJOY.

Seeing that Joker hasn't registered on the forums....and we all deeply miss having him out on a rig...I saw it only fair to post this ridiculous emo-core pic of him...until he registers on the boards..have an EMO-CORE look for yourself...but be warned..this shit is scary.

**Notice**

Let it serve as a warning to all CFR heads...this man was spotted today at the jumps and is looking to steal your rig or your social security number. Be warned. If you spot this man notify your local officials immediately.

Under normal circumstances this would seem ridiculous and outta the question..but after the first of the season ride at Palos this morning...it seems like an option..or at least deserved a second look..(details below the pic)

for the amazing low cost of only 400 bones..you can score this 25cc two stroke revomotor that fits into any 26" wheel. This incedible motor gets a whopping 200 miles per gallon and can deliver speeds up to 20mph. Not sure what that translates into for all the Canadians...but with gas topping 3.19 a gallon...this might be an option. "Riding without theRride"....huh?... not making to much sense to my simple mind I guess..kinda like DVR so we can "watch T.V without actually watching". What will we come up with next..."being fat without having to eat?"..(coming to stores near you soon!!)...I don't know...no 25cc motor in my front wheel will ever deliver the rush and excitement that pedaling balls up a climb with sweat pourin' out of the bucket...and what seems like an eternity ahead to go.. or bombin' a sick decent with the wind drying your sweat to a salty finish on your face can deliver...call me old fashion...call me a dolf...but here's a crazy thought for ya'...get out on your bike and ride...before I beat your fuckin' asses...while sitting on my couch and not really beating anything at all...huh...almost the same I guess...just different.

For all of you that remember DOM..

I recently spoke (e-mail) to his wife Sophie..and she caught me up with Dom..who taught a lot of us newbs how to ride...drink some beeeeyas, eight pietza, watch day-vay-days, and become fans of Jay-Tea boikes. He left to Washington several years back after joining the Coast Guard and has started a family. Apparently...riding in Washington is too much pedal for the pleasure...and he has opted to ride MOTO instead...and Sophie made it clear that their garage is home to many two-wheeled-motorized vehicled for every terrain. He is currently deployed..but upon his arrival will be relocated to Florida (talk about a move). Anyway...if anyone remembers DOM...or would like his contact info...hit me up with a PM.

A Bit on Dirt

As stated in the free online dictionary...Dirt is the part of the earth's surface consisting of humus and disintegrated rock...we've all at some point played in the dirt...we've all at some point gotten dirty...many people grow out of or simply lose interest in this disintegrated rock and humus that pretty much formed the basis for everything that at one time in life was fun...or some have gotten overwhelmed by the important things life throws at you like (I don't know) cellphones and the hustle and bustle of meetings and corporate this and that...but there are some of us..no matter how hectic life gets..or how uncool riding your bike after 14 can be to some...still find that simple satisfaction that only dirt can bring...whether it's that dirt skid on a pair of soiled riding jeans that you wear as a badge of courage from eating shit earlier that day...or for some of us earlier that week... the wringing out of your helemet to form a neurotoxic puddle in the dirt that acts as a small indication of your accomplishments that day...or simply wiping down a dirt hazed frame after a killer session at the jumps...whatever it may be...it doesn't boil down to just disintegrated rock and humus.....for some of us... dirt is still the foundation of a lifestyle. We still have the responsibilities that life brings...we just remember how much fun playing in the dirt can still be. With the riding season at door...get out and help the boyz diggin' away at the jumpz...get out and get a start on dirtying those new riding gloves..whatever it is that you decide to do...let's not forget how important dirt is...cause without it...well.... there's just..street.
